What We’ve Done
We have conducted university-wide surveys with Boston University students and parents to better understand the healthcare navigation experience for college students and their families:
- We surveyed over 200 students in the Greater Boston area, and their main concerns were the lack of transparency about available options from ER and SHS providers.
We are proud to announce that our HealthPair team presented at the 2023 Healthcare Advocate Summit in New Orleans in September 2023 with “Why Innovative Approaches Are Critical to Expand Access to Health Advocacy.” In addition to explaining the importance of health literacy among college students, we shared the data results we collected from students and parents in the Greater Boston area and received confirmation from dozens of board certified patient advocates that our services are widely needed.
A course designed to help you manage your health care by learning about physicians and other care providers, insurance, family history, going to an appointment and much more. By the end of the course, you will have the knowledge and skills necessary to take care of your own health needs, and be more prepared to navigate the healthcare system.
